Ajax MotionProtect Curtain Jeweller – narrow-beam indoor protection for windows, doors and passages

The Ajax MotionProtect Curtain Jeweller is designed for situations where you want to detect someone crossing a specific boundary rather than monitor movement throughout an entire room. Its narrow curtain-shaped detection zone makes it particularly useful across windows, doorways, corridors, glazed entrances and other indoor access points.

Two PIR sensors work together with Ajax signal processing to detect movement at distances of up to 15 m, while Jeweller wireless communication connects the detector to the Ajax alarm system without running signal cabling back to the hub.

Is This Right for You?

Choose MotionProtect Curtain when you want to create a narrow indoor detection boundary across an entrance, window or passage while still allowing movement elsewhere in the protected room. This can be useful for perimeter-style protection where occupants need to move inside without crossing the protected zone.

This detector does not provide pet immunity. If animals can enter or cross its detection zone, their movement can trigger an alarm.

How It Works

MotionProtect Curtain uses two PIR sensors and an optical system designed to create a narrow vertical detection field. Movement crossing this field is analysed and, when the system is armed, an alarm is transmitted to the Ajax hub over the encrypted Jeweller wireless protocol.

Correlation Signal Processing can be enabled where additional false-alarm filtering is required. In this mode, both PIR sensors must register a matching motion signal before the detector sends an alarm. Enabling this feature reduces the maximum detection distance, so the final installation should always be checked with the Ajax Detection Zone Test.
