Ajax DoorProtect Plus Jeweller – opening, shock and tilt protection for doors and windows

The Ajax DoorProtect Plus Jeweller provides three forms of intrusion detection in one compact wireless device. A reed switch monitors whether a door or window has been opened, while the built-in accelerometer can detect impacts and changes in the detector’s angle.

This makes DoorProtect Plus particularly useful for windows, glazed doors and other openings where an intruder might try to force, strike or move the protected structure before actually opening it. It also supports the Ajax Chime function, allowing a compatible siren to provide an audible entry notification while the alarm system is disarmed.

Choose the Right Option

DoorProtect Plus Jeweller is available in white and black. Both colour options provide the same opening, shock, tilt, Chime and wireless functionality, so choose the finish that best suits the door or window frame.

How It Works

For opening detection, DoorProtect Plus uses a reed switch together with one of the supplied magnets. The detector is mounted on the fixed section of the door or window and the magnet on the moving section. Moving the magnet away from the detector triggers an opening event.

A built-in accelerometer adds shock detection and tilt detection. Shock sensitivity can be set to one of three levels, and the detector can be configured to ignore a single impact before raising an alarm. The tilt activation threshold can be adjusted from 5° to 25°, allowing the system to monitor changes in a window or door’s position even where magnetic opening detection is not being used.

When Chime is enabled, opening DoorProtect Plus while the system is disarmed can make a selected compatible Ajax siren sound between 1 and 4 short beeps. This is useful as an entry notification for shops, offices, reception areas and homes.

• The magnet must be mounted on the right-hand side of the detector at the marked position.
