The Zartek ZA-660-A Digital Wireless Intercom System is a third-generation, ICASA-approved wireless doorphone designed for secure and convenient access control at residential and light commercial properties. Developed over several years of refinement, the ZA-660-A delivers dependable digital radio communication with simple installation and everyday reliability.

The system uses a single-button outdoor gate station paired with an indoor wireless handset. Visitors simply press the call button and speak hands-free, while the resident responds using a push-to-talk handset. From the handset, the resident can also trigger a gate motor or electric door strike, making the ZA-660-A a practical all-in-one intercom and access solution.

Designed for flexibility, the system can be expanded with additional handsets or extra gate stations, allowing communication between handsets and coverage for front and back entrances. A rechargeable indoor handset, battery-backed gate station and robust outdoor construction ensure reliable operation in South African conditions.

Typical Range is 50-70m in built-up areas and further in open terrain.

System Compatibility (Important)

The new ZA-660-A system and Accessories uses updated internal circuitry and is not compatible with older Zartek intercom models.

• ❌ Not compatible with: ZA-650 or ZA-650-A intercom kits and related Accessories (EOL)
• New white handsets cannot pair with older dark-grey gate stations
• Older black handsets cannot pair with new light-grey gate stations
• Not compatible with older 4-button gate units

This ensures system stability and security but should be noted when replacing or expanding existing installations.
