The HB8 Pro uses a motorized lens with a smooth pan-tilt function via the EZVIZ App. At any time of day, you can monitor what’s important to you from almost any angle. This is also useful when looking for the best installation location for the camera – you can always make adjustment to set the best viewing angle.

Time for battery-powered all-day recording

Unlike most battery cameras on the market, which have trouble detecting and recording videos due to short battery life and non-smart sensors, the camera is equipped with EZVIZ’s groundbreaking AOV technology to enable all-day recording while ensuring a long standby time with a much greater detection distance.

01 Always records, scenes or events

When on the AOV mode, the HB8 Pro can capture images at preset time intervals and process them to create a smooth time-lapse video⁶ showing the changes over time, even when there is no activity. Once detecting an activity, the camera will switch to normal-speed videos to provide more information. You can now obtain all-day recording on a battery-powered camera without having to plug it into a power outlet.

02 Always protects, far or near

Unlike other battery cameras that heavily rely on PIR sensors to capture only nearby activities, this camera can detect an approaching person or vehicle at a much greater distance. If a person or vehicle appears, it will immediately notice that and inform you straight away.

With an adjustable bracket that rotates 360 degrees and a 3-meter cable, the solar panel offers incredible installation flexibility, you can find the best location or angle for optimal sun exposure.

The HB8 Pro is smart enough to distinguish moving people and vehicles from other objects. You no longer need to constantly watch your camera or go through long video files to find a crucial moment – set up the detection preferences and let the camera inform you when it’s important.

Record an unfolding activity with auto smart tracking

Unlike a fixed-angle camera, which can easily lose sight of a moving person in its limited field of view, the HB8 Pro is able to change its sight to keep a close eye on an ongoing activity. As soon as a person enters the detecting zone, the HB8 Pro is activated to lock on the person, rotating to follow the entire movement.

Wherever you install the HB8 Pro camera, it manages to comprehend the surrounding light to automatically create an evenly exposed, clear image, even in the dark. Users can choose to enable the “Balanced Image Exposure” option via the EZVIZ App at any time, regardless of which night vision mode the camera is in.

1  The battery life of the HB8 Pro is 180 days when on the standard PIR-triggered mode, based on an usage of 5 minutes per day. The battery life of the HB8 Pro is 15 days when camera is set to AOV mode with auto interval. Data comes from EZVIZ Lab’s test under standard conditions and may vary due to environmental factors and the frequency of camera activities.

3  The HB8 Pro camera only supports auto smart tracking on detected humans based on its AI-powered human shape algorithm.

6  To use this function, a compatible microSD card (sold separately) must be inserted into the camera.
7  When the AOV mode is enabled, according to EZVIZ Lab’s test results under standard conditions, the camera is able to detect movements at a distance of up to 25 meters during the day, and up to 12 meters during the nighttime. Other tested battery models that use PIR-based detection usually have a detection distance of up to 9 meters. The actual detection range may differ due to environmental factors.
