Ajax NVR DC – 8 & 16 Channel Options | 9–16V DC

The Ajax NVR DC version is designed for installations where low-voltage DC power is preferred such as battery-backed, solar, off-grid or centralised low-voltage power systems. Unlike the standard Ajax NVR, the DC version is intended for low-voltage DC power input and does not use a standard 110/230 V AC mains power cable.

Available in both 8-channel and 16-channel options, the NVR, integrates with the Ajax system to provide instant access to video of detection events, all through a single, easy-to-use app.

Seamless Integration with Ajax:

The Ajax NVR works in harmony with Ajax alarm and security systems, ensuring smooth collaboration between video surveillance and intrusion alarms. This synergy allows for real-time event monitoring and immediate access to relevant video footage, enabling you to manage your entire security system through the Ajax app.

Instant Event Notifications:

Receive instant notifications via the Ajax app, complete with a video clip that directs you to the camera capturing the event. Whether it’s detecting humans, animals, vehicles, or general motion, you can assess the situation in real-time.

Customisable Scenarios:

Configure scenarios to automatically activate specific cameras based on Ajax detectors, ensuring you capture the most important moments.

Advanced Motion Detection:

Customise specific zones within the camera’s field of view to trigger recordings only when movement occurs in selected areas. This feature helps to avoid unnecessary recordings of irrelevant motion, such as swaying vegetation or distant passers-by.

Two Models:

Choose between the 8-channel NVR DC (for up to 8 cameras) or the 16-channel version (for up to 16 cameras). For larger surveillance systems, multiple NVRs can be added—up to 14 NVRs per account allowing you to manage up to 220 cameras across a single system. This scalability makes the Ajax DC ideal for both residential and commercial use.

Video Storage and Archiving:

The NVR supports internal surveillance hard drives of up to 16TB, providing ample space for long-term video retention. Customisable video walls allow for streamlined monitoring, but please note that the hard drive is not included in the box.

Reliable PoE Connectivity:

Ajax cameras connect via PoE (Power over Ethernet) cables offering a faster and more reliable connection than wireless options. Simply connect a CAT5 cable with RJ45 connectors between the camera and a PoE switch, which then connects to the Ajax NVR. For continuous operation during power outages, it’s recommended to use a UPS (uninterruptible power supply), as the NVR does not have a built-in battery.

Fanless Design for Silent Operation:

The fanless design ensures quiet operation, making the NVR suitable for indoor environments without causing noise disturbances.

Standalone Operation:

The Ajax NVR DC operates independently of the Ajax Hub meaning you don’t need additional hardware to run the system via the Ajax app.
