The Ajax GlassProtect is a small wireless detector that notifies the Ajax Hub when glass is broken. A microphone in the device registers the sound of glass breaking and/or glass falling. Two-factor detection of broken glass prevents false alarms caused by thunder, barking dogs and noise from passing trucks. It includes a connector for a third-party wired detector with the NC (normally closed) type of contact.

Ready to operate straight out the box

Ajax MotionProtect Curtain comes with pre-installed battery so you do not need to disassemble it. The detector can be connected to the hub with one click in the mobile application.

Principle of operation

Detects broken glass using an electret microphone, which registers the sound of impact against the glass and of the glass falling.

The GlassProtect detects glass breakage up to a distance of 9m and filters events that cause false alarms such as thunder, barking dogs and noise from passing trucks.

Please Note: GlassProtect detector does not react to the breaking of the film-covered glass: shockproof, sunscreen, decorative, or any other type of film. To detect the breaking of such kind of glass, we recommend using the DoorProtect Plus wireless opening detector with shock and tilt sensors.
