The Ajax SoloButton 1-Gang is the touch-sensitive front panel used to complete a standalone Ajax LightSwitch with either a LightCore 1-Gang or LightCore 2-Way. It combines the visible front panel and single-switch frame into one component, with Black and White finishes available to suit the installation.

The SoloButton does not switch the lighting load by itself. Choose the LightCore 1-Gang when controlling one lighting circuit from a single switch position, or the LightCore 2-Way when the same lighting circuit needs control from more than one switch position.

If you already have a compatible LightCore, the SoloButton can be purchased separately as the required front panel or as a replacement. Otherwise, select the correct LightCore and, where needed, the South African wall-box adapter using the Product Add-ons on this page.

How It Works

The SoloButton attaches mechanically to the compatible LightCore without tools. Its large touch-sensitive surface lets you control the completed LightSwitch by touching the panel or bringing a hand within approximately 15 mm of it.

The SoloButton also forms the visible single-switch frame. For installations where several Ajax switches or outlets are combined into one multi-seat Frame, use the appropriate CenterButton or SideButton instead of a SoloButton.

• For installation into a standard South African 100 × 50 mm / 4 × 2 wall box, add the IoT 4 × 2 Wall Box Installation Adapter.
• Electrical load ratings, no-neutral operation and switching functions are determined by the selected LightCore, not by the SoloButton panel.
