Ajax WallSwitch – a Wireless Power Relay with Energy Monitor

Ajax WallSwitch connects directly to the 110 V / 230 V source and closes/opens the circuit on command. The relay can handle loads of up to 3 kW which is enough to connect a power-hungry device. The device displays the power consumption in the Ajax app.

Automation Scenarios

Scenarios can be used to automate a system and reduce the number of routine actions. For example, they can activate outdoor lights upon alarm triggers, shutoff water upon detection of leaks by LeaksProtect, schedule timers for Geysers (requires a contactor) and Pool Pumps, regulate heating when temperatures drop or disabling electric locks when arming the system.

Scenario Types and Usage Examples with Ajax WallSwitch:

1. By Alarm: Illuminate the space when an opening detector triggers the alarm ensuring immediate visibility and deterrence against intruders.
2. By Security Mode Change: Automatically secure premises by disabling the electric lock upon arming providing enhanced protection against unauthorised access.
3. By Schedule: Optimise energy usage and enhance convenience by scheduling the activation of the irrigation system at specified times. Additionally, simulate occupancy by remotely controlling lighting and TV activation while owners are away enhancing home security.
4. By Button Press: Activate night lighting with a simple press of the Ajax Button ensuring visibility and safety during nighttime hours.
5. By Temperature: Ensure optimal comfort and energy efficiency by activating heating systems when room temperatures fall below 20°C maintaining a cosy environment.
6. By Humidity: Maintain indoor air quality and comfort levels by automatically switching on the humidifier when humidity drops below 40%, preventing discomfort and potential health issues associated with dry air.
7. By CO₂ Concentration: Enhance indoor air circulation and freshness by activating supply ventilation when carbon dioxide levels exceed 1000 ppm, ensuring a healthy and comfortable environment for occupants.
