OUR RETURN POLICY

14-Day Return Policy

We offer a 14-day return policy on all online purchases, excluding batteries. Items can be returned for a full refund or exchange (subject to availability), excluding shipping and bank charges. After this period, refunds and exchanges will no longer be accepted.

To be eligible for a return, the items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as when received.



Warranty Period

All items carry a 12-month warranty (unless otherwise specified), which will be honored by Stemar Security Systems. Depending on stock and availability, items may be replaced, repaired, or refunded. Products will require evaluation by Stemar Security Systems, its suppliers, or importers before a warranty claim is accepted.

Please complete our Returns Form if you need to return an item. We do not reimburse the shipping fee for returns.

The warranty will no longer be valid, and Stemar Security Systems will not be held responsible for damage or injury caused by:

  • Electrical fluctuations, surges, lightning strikes, faulty building wiring, improper installations, or misuse.
  • Failure to follow operating instructions, general misuse, or abuse of the product.
  • Damage caused by force majeure (acts of God) or infestation by insects or pests.
  • Physical damage occurring after the product has left the store.
  • Water or liquid damage to the product.
  • Tampering with the warranty seal.
  • Any repair or tampering by unauthorized persons, or use of parts not supplied by authorised agents. Any alterations or modifications to the equipment will render the warranty null and void.
 


Returns and Refunds

Stemar Security Systems will refund the client in full or issue store credit (at the customer’s preference) in cases of product unavailability.

Refunds are subject to inspection and may require evaluation by the supplier/importer which could take up to 15 working days. Once approved, refunds or store credits will be processed within 3-5 business days. Returned items that are not in brand-new condition will not be eligible for exchange or refund.

If shipping an item valued over R500, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.



Exceptions on Returns/Refunds

  • Sale Items: Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
  • Batteries: Batteries do not carry any warranty due to uncontrollable operating conditions.
 


Exchanges (If Applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same model, please complete our Returns Form and send your item to:
