Our return policy

7 Day return policy

We offer a 7-day return policy on anything you purchase through our store. You can return your purchases for a full refund or exchange (subject to availability), excluding shipping costs however once the 7 days has lapsed, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and it must also be in the original packaging. 

Warranty Period

All items carry a 12 month warranty (unless otherwise specified) which will be honoured by Stemar Security Systems. All items will either be replaced, repaired or refunded, depending on stock and availability. Products will require evaluation by Stemar Security Systems before a warranty claim can be accepted. Please email us at support@stemar.co.za should you need to return an item. We do not reimburse your shipping fee to us.

The warranty will no longer be valid and Stemar Security Systems will not be held responsible for damage or injury of any kind resulting from:

  • Electricity fluctuations and surges, lightning strikes, faults in the building wiring, faulty installations and improper use of controls
  • Failure to use the product in accordance with the operating instructions and / or general misuse and / or abuse
  • Damage caused by a superior force (vis major) of if the product has been infested with insects or pests
  • If the product is physically damaged after it left the store
  • If water or liquid caused the damage to the product
  • If the warranty seal is tampered with
  • Any repair or tampering by an unauthorised person or attempt to repair or tamper with the equipment, or use of parts not supplied by authorised agents, or alterations or modifications to the equipment shall render the warranty null and void

Return and Refunds

The provision of goods and services by Stemar Security Systems is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Stemar Security Systems will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 15% administration fee.

Refunds are subject to inspection of the item(s) and is subject to a 15% restocking fee if the item(s) is not in brand new condition. Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Allow a few days for the internal and banking process.

If you are shipping an item over R500, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item/s.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@stemar.co.za and send your item to: Stemar Security Systems, 14 Kayburne Avenue, Randpark Ridge, Johannesburg, Gauteng, 2156, South Africa.
